John "Jack" Kearney was born and educated in Boston, Massachusetts. Jack's professional training is in commercial art however, he has been very prolific in the fine arts for the last thirty-five years. The materials Jack uses are quite unorthodox and complex such as; Markers, Special Inks, Oil Sticks and Spayed Paint all combined on Plexi-Glass ª to convey his observations of people and landscapes with a special emphases on portraiture.

Color and continuous line are the keys to Jack's current work. His intense paintings of people captivate the observer from every angle. The informality of the materials and methods he uses create a consistent yet, unusually subtle texture throughout his paintings. Jack's work is both thoughtful and stirring, in contrast to the hard Plexi-Glass ª and raw steel frame exterior. The works portray more love than satire but it is an all-knowing love that keeps no secrets.

The following paintings portray a unique insight into the artist's vision of the world around us.
