Marcela Di Santo began taking pictures when she was just five years old with the assistance of her grandfather, an engineer and architect from Taormina Sicily, who also loved photography. When she turned eight years old her father, an electrical engineer from Rome, Italy gave her a camera and from that moment on, photography became her life-passion and she won her first photography contest at the age of thirteen. |

She worked with internationally known artist and photographer Pablo Soria as one of his main models for a few years. On one occasion he had her photograph him, noticing her talent and passion for photography Soria, began mentioning and teaching Marcela. Her many influences include Herb Ritts, Laurence Gartel, Andy Warhol, Helmut Newton, and Imogen Cunnigham.

Marcela Di Santo was born in Buenos Aires to an Italian family and raised in Miami Beach, Florida and Milan, Italy. She resides in Italy during the spring and summer and in the United States during the fall and winter.
